Are You a Risk?

Are you driven to answer the beckoning call of nature --to totally immerse yourself into it, forgoing the comforts of home just to walk on some long winding, rocky, and hilly trail somewhere?

When you feel closer to nature and strip yourself of much of the material comforts and barriers to being in nature, do you feel an inner peace, even momentarily or for extended spells, that you are closer to the creator?

Are you, even now, listening to the music of nature that is at a high crescendo this time of year? Do you copy that with a flute or guitar? Are you watching little TV? Planning the next time to hike? Daydream often at work about the wonderful creation and how next to enjoy it? Listen to music in the car or ride in silence rather than listen to continuous news reports? Drive the speed limit and enjoy the subtle pace of the road, letting all kinds of folks to race around in the fast lane and cut in every chance they get? And you don’t care?

Are you making simple useful items instead of buying them? Have wondrous thoughts on the trail but really cannot translate them into words or choose not to as the task of describing them is huge and the vision may not be correctly captured? Reading book after book about others experience in nature? Letting household chores slide some so you can get on the trail, or canoe or kayak to some remote spot? Enjoy sleeping out in your own backyard?

These are all serious symptoms of a major disorder.

If you or someone you know is experiencing these symptoms there is no known cure. They think that they are normal, but they are far from it! They do not fit into normal society so they must be very ill.

Scientists have yet to find a way to soothe the unusual behavior that affects those suffering these symptoms. Although it may not kill you, it can make you appear very eccentric. You MAY actually appear to be very healthy and happy.
